Building Finder: How Purchasing and Lead Conversion Work

The Building Finder provides immediate access to detailed building data, automatically creates leads, and converts them into qualified contacts through letters and QR codes.

What You Receive When Purchasing a Building Address

When you purchase an address through the Building Finder, you immediately receive comprehensive building data. At the same time, a new lead is automatically created in your system, allowing you to continue working without any manual intermediate steps.

Important: The Building Finder does not provide any personal data related to an address, such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses. The building data is intended solely to support your cold outreach activities, for example by letter or postcard.

Building Data at a Glance

The Building Finder provides the following information about a property.

Building Details

  • Full address, including street, postal code, and city

  • Building area in m²

  • Geographical location

  • Year of construction

  • Number of floors

  • Residential or usable floor area

Energy Data

  • Energy demand in kWh/m²·a

  • Estimated heating system

  • Annual energy consumption

Solar Potential, If Available

  • Suitable roof area for photovoltaic systems

  • Maximum capacity in kWp

  • Annual yield potential

  • Monthly yield distribution

Automatic Lead Creation

For every purchased building, the system automatically creates a complete lead with the following information:

  • Customer: Placeholder name, such as “Building + Street Name”

  • Project: Includes the building area, if available

  • Address: Fully entered

  • Lead source: “Building Finder”

The lead is immediately available in your existing workflow. You can then use the lead table to complete the contact details or continue with your cold outreach activities.'

How Lead Conversion Works

Purchased Building Finder leads initially do not contain any contact details. They are converted into genuine customer contacts through a clearly structured process.

Step 1: Send a Letter

Open the lead in the lead view and switch to the Send Letter tab. There you will find:

  • A prewritten German letter template with a placeholder for your company name

  • An automatically generated, unique QR code

  • An option to download the QR code as a PNG file in 200 × 200 px

What You Need to Do

Copy the letter template, print it together with the QR code, and send the letter by post to the property address.

Step 2: The Property Owner Responds

When the property owner scans the QR code with a smartphone, they are taken to a simple, mobile-optimised contact form. No registration or login is required.

The form requests the following information:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

Step 3: Automatic Lead Enrichment

After the form has been submitted, the following happens automatically:

  • The placeholder data is replaced with the actual contact details

  • The existing lead is updated

  • You receive a qualified, warm lead with complete contact details

Overview of the Result

Before the Property Owner Responds

  • Complete building data and address

  • Energy and solar potential data

  • Placeholder customer, such as “Building Example Street 12”

  • A prepared and editable lead

After the Property Owner Responds

  • All information listed above

  • The property owner’s actual name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • A lead with active interest and a direct contact option
