The building age band refers to the approximate construction period of the property (e.g., pre-1900, 1930–1960, post‑2000).

It’s a key parameter that the calculator uses to select default U‑value assumptions for external elements like walls, floors, and roofs and has great influence on the heat loss and the heat pump sizing.
